Privacy Policy

LoveCapsule is operated by RNDL Interactive, an independent software studio based in the Philippines. We are the personal information controller for the data described here. For anything on this page, email hello@rndlinteractive.com.

Your account. Your email address, and your name and profile photo if your sign-in provider supplies them. Accounts are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider.

What you put in a capsule.The words you write, the photos you upload, the music you choose, the recipient’s name, and any passcode you set. A passcode is stored only as a scrambled value that cannot be read back, not as the digits you typed.

Payments.The amount, currency, date, and the reference our payment provider returns. Card details are entered on the provider’s own page. We never see or store card numbers.

Someone else’s email address. If you ask us to email a capsule to the person it was made for, we use the address you give us to send that one message and to keep a record that it was sent. We do not add them to any list, we do not market to them, and we do not use their address for anything else.

Replies to invitations. If your capsule asks a question, we store the answer, any message left, and the name the person gives.

Technical data. Usage analytics and server logs: pages viewed, approximate region, browser type, and errors. We use these to keep the service working.

This is the most important thing on this page. When you publish a capsule it becomes visible to anyone who has its link. The link is a long, random address that is not listed in our site and is asked not to be indexed by search engines, but it is not a secret: anyone the link is forwarded to can open it.

If a capsule contains something you would not want a stranger to see, add a passcode before you publish, and only share the link with the person it is for.

To create and host the capsule you asked us to make, to take payment for it, to answer your questions, to keep the service secure and working, and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Under the Data Privacy Act, consent is only one possible basis for processing; most of what we do here is necessary to provide the service you asked for.

Only with the services that make LoveCapsule run: our authentication provider, our database and file hosting, our payment providers (PayMongo for QR Ph, and Paddle for international card and wallet orders), our email provider, and our analytics. Each receives only what it needs for its part.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not send marketing email to an address you gave us to buy something or to get support.

Capsules and their photos stay for as long as your account exists, because a keepsake that quietly disappeared would defeat the point. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. Drafts you never published, and files you uploaded and then replaced, may be removed from time to time.

Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your capsules, your uploads and your account, keeping only what we are required to keep for tax and accounting.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, object to how we use it, or receive a copy. Email hello@rndlinteractive.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may raise it with the National Privacy Commission.

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle what you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
